Two Day Magical Aria:

In the Resort of Jeris

For those with very little time at their disposal, our Magical Aria tour is nevertheless of sufficient duration to provide that special feel of Lapland. The aim is to include the essential ingredients of our longer tours, yet naturally in a more confined time capsule. During your visit you will have the opportunity to skidoo, enjoy husky and reindeer rides and naturally meet the one and only Santa Claus.

Jeris is a traditional Finnish lakeside resort offering a choice of hotel and cabin accommodations. Sadly with such a short stay there is very limited time in the area but it is fair to say that it is easy to believe that Santa has one of his many homes in this very pretty locality. Families will generally be accommodated in cabins with own private facilities and sauna which provide bedding for up to 6 persons, although you may choose hotel accommodation in adjoining rooms with private facilities if you so desire. Meals will be taken by all participants in the hotel restaurant *.

• Day 1 – fly to Enontekio or Kittila and transfer to the resort of Jeris (approximately 1 hour whichever airport used) where upon arrival you will be accommodated in traditional cabins or hotel accommodation, according to your choice. Late afternoon and early evening following the issue of your warm over-clothing and boots to protect you from the cold, join in some simple snow games, tobogganing, tug of war, children's and adult snow mobiles, and make full use of this exciting location. For those daring enough Jeris offers a very unusual activity involving swimming in an opening created in the frozen lake either naturally or for fun floating in a fully protected flotation suit which will keep you warm! (adults only). You may also simply choose to recline in a warm or hot tub in an adjacent building with views across the lake. A buffet style dinner will be provided for all.

• Day 2 – Enjoy a substantial breakfast before leaving for a short coach ride to board the snowmobiles and sleighs waiting to take you on a search for a well known gentleman! A host of activities are planned for this morning including reindeers, huskies, ice fishing and skidoos. Each family will have the opportunity to meet with the great man himself and discuss those special Christmas wishes. We return for lunch at Jeris before departing back to the airport for our flight back to the UK. A stop of approx. 1 hour will be made to purchase souvenirs of Lapland en route back to the airport.

Lodgings, Cabins & Accommodation

Jeris is a traditional Finnish lakeside resort offering a choice of hotel and cabin accommodation. Hotel rooms are best suited to 3 persons maximum whilst there is a fine range of cabins from 2 to 6 persons. All rooms have private shower, wc and warm air dryer whilst cabins have also have the added benefit of a log fire and sauna. Cabins are mixed in style with some having all beds at ground level and some having additional mattress beds reached by staircase in the eves of the cabins.
Meals will be take in the hotel restaurants.
 

LIMITED FREE CHILD PLACES: Free child places are subject to availability and must be booked prior to October 2005. Each booking must consist of a minimum of 2 adults and 2 children (the youngest child in the party will qualify for the free child place). Offer available on all departure dates.

Prices:

Insurance Premium: £40 adult, £20 child 2-15 years of age inclusive.

Child Reductions, per child (2-11 years inclusive) - £70.

Prices shown are per paying person. Each cabin or room is reserved privately for the number in that party, i.e. if 3 persons book a cabin for 6 it remains private for the 3 persons concerned as the under occupancy supplement is already included in the price for 3. Tour includes services as specified in the itinerary. Accommodation, meals and tours with gift allowance for children aged 2 to 11. All flights are non-smoking. Flight schedules and aircraft type to be advised when booking.
