Your Accommodation in Lapland:Situated in the ski resort of Luosto, comprising of a hotel and a small cluster of log cabins, you can truly imagine this to be close to the real home of Santa Claus. To find a prettier setting in the whole of Lapland would be difficult. This accommodation is used for all tours that stay overnight - except for Two Day Magical Aria in Salla. Please follow that link for a description of the accommodation used on that tour. Your log cabin or log hotel roomChoose between a regular cabin, with accommodation on an open plan basis for up to six persons, or a two-bedroom cabin. Whichever you opt for, the standard is of a good quality. In each you will find your own private sauna, shower and WC, kitchen area, television and warm air clothes dryer, central heating and log fire. In addition, there are five log rooms within the building housing the log cabin restaurant. These are suitable for elderly persons who may not wish to walk to and from the cabins. These do not have saunas or log fires. Log cabins are located 5-15 minutes walk from the main log cabin restaurant and the 2-bedroomed cabins some 15-25 minutes walk. LuostotunturiCompleted in February 2000, this well-appointed hotel is designed to fit within the natural beauty of the area. It is built in the shape of a Lappish reindeer earmarking. Rooms have shower, toilet, TV with video satellite channel, telephone, hairdryer and minibar and can accommodate up to four people (some duplex rooms available). There are also disabled rooms and suites on request. A highlight of the hotel is the Amethyst Spa swimming pool (a grouse-shaped roman bath with various water jet massage points) and two Jacuzzis, one of which is a unique man-made Amethyst cavern. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style and feature a children’s buffet as well, eaten in the hotel restaurant. Whether you are accommodated in a hotel or cabin, you can arrange for an overnight stay in igloo (subject to satisfactory weather conditions) at no additional charge.
