Battlefields
Bomber Country Lincolnshire has a vast aviation heritage and is renowned as the ‘Home of the Royal Air Force’. The county’s flat open countryside made it ideal for development of airfields during the Great War, and during World War II Lincolnshire become the most important home of Bomber Command. Combining visits to museums and trailing some of the former RAF stations in the area, our fascinating weekend itinerary bears witness to the courage, determination and bravery of the men and women who served our country in more turbulent times.
